HSC Exam Result 2014. The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka was established on 7 May 1921 according to the recommendation of Sadler Commission. Intermediate colleges and high schools in Dhaka city and Islamic intermediate colleges and high madrasah of greater Bengal were under control of that board. An advisory board made by the director of public education department of greater Bengal was given the authority to govern the board.

The Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations begin Thursday, with about 2.15 lakh students dropping out in the session.
This year, 11,41,374 students from 8,104 educational institutions have registered under 10 education boards, including madrassah and technical, to take the exams at 2,352 centres across the country.
Of the total students, 9,24,171 will take the Higher Secondary Certificate examinations under eight general education boards, 1,07,557 Alim examinations under the Madrassah Education Board.
In addition, 1,04,669 students will take business management and vocational exams under the Technical Education Board and 4,9,77 diploma in business studies under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka.
General stream students will take their Bangla first paper examination and madrasah students will take the Quran Majeed today.
Meanwhile, the education minister, Nurul Islam Nahid visited the Motijheel Ideal School and College centre this morning.
