Many times I've passed by Geylang but just shrugged off this place as another average food joint. Until curiosity peaked one day when I ventured in with my brother... and were out opinions changed. Have to say that the folks at Kong Kee have definitely got it right. The flavour and texture of their noodles is just simply heartening and slurpiliciously GOOD. With fresh ingredients and some lard, the KL HKM is really one of the best I've tried so far. My only gripe is that some of their food items may be overpriced. For instance their Dong Po Rou. $18 for a small portion was a tad heavy on our pockets. But other than that, the place is seriously worth a visit. Do also try their Sang Har Hor Fun. The wok hei is just simply amazing. oh, and as for their desserts, they also serve taiwanese style Mango Ice,and some others, and it left a pretty good impression on us too. :)
