He explained to us that this broth is a Manchu and Han Imperial Feast classic favoured by the royals, especially the concubines, during the Qing dynasty. This broth is painstakingly brewed for over 12 hours with fresh red carrot puree, chicken bone marrows, pork shin and thigh with skin and dry-aged cured ham.
