Team Golf supported by Cleveland Srixon Kids Need Golf, hosted the second event for the North Palm Beach region at the Golf & Racquet Country Club, and featured seven teams; Cookies and Cream Unicorns (North Palm Beach CC), Fire Breathing Unicorns (North Palm Beach CC), Jonathan’s Landing Shipwreckers, Old Marsh Gators, Pla Academy Chargers, Pla Academy Knights, and the Mad Hatters (Jupiter CC).

The Pla Academy Knights, coached by Sherri Pla, came if first place with 235 points. Players included: Jeremy Boyd, Jameson Martin, Carlos Rodriguez, Brett Carter Allen, Payton Giaimo, and Shane Giaimo.

The Old Marsh Gators, coached by Mike Ortega, PGA, finished 2nd with 193 points. Finishing in 3rd place with 185 points were the Jonathan’s Landing Shipwreckers, coached by Neil Lockie, PGA.  Other scores included: Fire Breathing Unicorns 140, The Mad Hatters 125, Pla Academy Chargers 105, and Cookies & Cream Unicorns 103.

This event was the second in a seven event series to be held through the summer months. The next event is at PGA National on Tuesday, July 2nd.

Team Golf is a developmental program designed for junior golfers ages 7-14 with beginning level golf experience and offers an introduction to tournament play through 9-hole team stroke play competition. Team Golf serves as a fun, social, less stressful approach to tournament golf, and provides junior golfers with knowledge and skills that set the stage for a lifetime of golf enjoyment.
