August 8

OAKLAND — Oakland’s Grand Fare Market, the 4,500-square-foot ambitious food hall that opened in October as a combination oyster bar, market, and café, and then closed in December, is now officially reopen, with a few changes. [EaterWire]

FINANCIAL DISTRICT— The endlessly Instagrammable Mr. Holmes Bakehouse has opened a stand at Montgomery and Bush. No cruffins to be found here (they're only sold at HQ, in the Tenderloin), but pick up some tasty pastries from 7 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday-Friday. [Tablehopper]

GUERNEVILLE— The former Applewood Restaurant, located in the luxurious Applewood Inn and Spa, has transformed into Revival. The new menu from chef Ben Spiegel will be "West County cuisine," a term coined by restaurateur Christina luedtke, and include foraged seaweed and produce from Applewood's garden. [Eaterwire]

SANTA ROSA— Steele and Hops, a brewpub, is now open in the former Heritage Public House. The brewery will start producing beer onsite in 2017; in the meantime, a menu of pizza, burgers and barbecue is paired with over 20 beers on tap, and wine. [BiteClubEats]
