Artist and CCA adjunct professor Matteo Bittanti has produced a 600-page tome about homelessness in the video game SimCity, and the book's accounts of players' attempts to solve the issue are at times jarring and strange. After the 2013 edition of the game came out, players initially mistook the homeless problem for a bug. As they grappled with solutions, the possibilities that emerged ranged from turning the homeless population into an army of zombies to bulldozing the parks where they gather—"simultaneously imaginary and tragically real," says Bittanti.
