I love watching films. I love all kinds of films apart from westerns. I love kids films and often watch them without my kids. I think 2016 as been a great year for kids films and there have been a lot of fantastic kids films come out this year on both the cinemas and on DVD’s too. So I thought I would share with you the best kids films of 2016!

Norm of the North

Goosebumps
Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah, living right next door, and makes a quick friend in Champ. The Jungle Book
An epic adventure about Mowgli, a man-cub who’s been raised by a family of wolves. But Mowgli finds he is no longer welcome in the jungle when fearsome tiger ShereKhan, who bears the scars of Man, promises to eliminate what he sees as a threat. Urged to abandon the only home he’s ever known, Mowgli embarks on a captivating journey of self-discovery, guided by panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera, and the free-spirited bear Baloo. Along the way, Mowgli encounters jungle creatures who don’t exactly have his best interests at heart, including Kaa, a python whose seductive voice and gaze hypnotizes the man-cub, and the smooth-talking King Louie, who tries to coerce Mowgli into giving up the secret to the elusive and deadly red flower: fire.
Robinson Crusoe
On a tiny exotic island, Tuesday, an outgoing parrot, lives with his quirky animal friends in paradise. After a violent storm, Tuesday and his friends wake up to find a strange creature on the beach: Robinson Crusoe. Slowly but surely, they all start living together in harmony, until one day, when their comfortable life is overturned by two savage cats. A battle ensues between the cats and the group of friends but Crusoe and the animals soon discover the true power of friendship up against all odds (even savage cats).

The BFG
The Big Friendly Giant is nothing like the other inhabitants of Giant Country. Standing 24-feet tall with enormous ears and a keen sense of smell, he is endearingly dim-witted and keeps to himself for the most part. Sophie, a precocious 10-year-old girl from London, is initially frightened of the mysterious giant who has brought her to his cave, but soon comes to realize that the BFG is actually quite gentle and charming. Having both been on their own in the world up until now, their affection for one another quickly grows, but Sophie’s presence in Giant Country has attracted the unwanted attention of the other giants, who have become increasingly more bothersome. Together, they come up with a plan to get rid of the giants once and for all.
The Secret Live of Pets
Despicable Me 2 director Chris Renaud takes the reins for this Illumination Entertainment production centering on the adventures of a privileged inner-city terrier who teams with a spirited mongrel to prevent a sinister bunny from assembling an army of abandoned pets to stage a massive uprising.
Finding Dory
Disney Pixar’s “Finding Dory” welcomes back to the big screen everyone’s favorite forgetful blue tang Dory, who’s living happily in the reef with Marlin and Nemo. When Dory suddenly remembers that she has a family out there who may be looking for her, the trio takes off on a life-changing adventure across the ocean to California’s prestigious Marine Life Institute, a rehabilitation center and aquarium. In an effort to find her mom and dad, Dory enlists the help of three of the MLI’s most intriguing residents: Hank, a cantankerous octopus who frequently gives employees the slip; Bailey, a beluga whale who is convinced his biological sonar skills are on the fritz; and Destiny, a nearsighted whale shark. Deftly navigating the complex inner workings of the MLI, Dory and her friends discover the magic within their flaws, friendships and family.
Pete’s Dragon
An orphan boy tries to escape the clutches of his abusive adoptive parents with the help of a pet dragon. The duo are aided by a kind couple who harbor them at a lighthouse they live in.
Swallows and Amazons
Four children (the Swallows) on holiday in the Lake District sail on their own to an island and start a war with rival children (the Amazons). In the meantime, a mysterious man on a houseboat accuses them of a crime they did not commit.

The Angry Birds Movie

But when the island is visited by mysterious green piggies, it’s up to these unlikely outcasts to figure out what the pigs are up to.
Trolls
in Cinemas 21st October
DreamWorks Animation’s TROLLS is an irreverent comedy extravaganza with incredible music! From the genius creators of SHREK, TROLLS stars Anna Kendrick as Poppy, the optimistic leader of the Trolls, and her polar opposite, Branch, played by Justin Timberlake. Together, this unlikely pair of Trolls must embark on an adventure that takes them far beyond the only world they’ve ever known.
Moana
in Cinemas 2nd December
Young navigator Moana teams with mythical demi-god Maui to locate a legendary island, and together the pair explores fantastical lands and encounters incredible sea creatures in this adventure from Walt Disney Animation Studios.

I have watched most of these movies, and out of the ones I have seen so far, I like Zootropolis and The Jungle Book the most. I still haven’t seen The BFG and The Secret Lives of Pets which I have heard are really good. So I can’t wait to see them. I also can’t wait to see Trolls. I remember having loads of Troll toys when I was youngest, but these Trolls look a bit cuter.
