Things are about to get Wicked in New Orleans.

Twenty-two year old Ivy Morgan isn’t your average college student. She, and others like her, know humans aren’t the only thing trolling the French Quarter for fun… and for food. Her duty to the Order is her life. After all, four years ago, she lost everything at the hands of the creatures she’d sworn to hunt, tearing her world and her heart apart.

Ren Owens is the last person Ivy expected to enter her rigidly controlled life. He’s six feet and three inches of temptation and swoon-inducing charm. With forest-green eyes and a smile that’s surely left a stream of broken hearts in its wake, he has an uncanny, almost unnatural ability to make her yearn for everything he has to offer. But letting him in is as dangerous as hunting the cold-blooded killers stalking the streets. Losing the boy she loved once before had nearly destroyed her, but the sparking tension that grows between them becomes impossible for Ivy to deny. Deep down, she wants… she needs more than what her duty demands of her, what her past has shaped for her.

But as Ivy grows closer to Ren, she realizes she’s not the only one carrying secrets that could shatter the frail bond between them. There’s something he’s not telling her, and one thing is for certain. She’s no longer sure what is more dangerous to her—the ancient beings threatening to take over the town or the man demanding to lay claim to her heart and her soul.

My Review: Another page turner from Jennifer! She gave me a new view on fae that I just loved!

I loved the New Orleans setting, the order, and Jen's take on fae. The I got to know Ivy and her life. She is a hard worker. Goes to college and kicks some fae butt on the side. She and her friend bot have this gift where they can see through the glamour that fae use. And the fae have no clue that they can see right through the glamour, which is good for them.

Ivy is the one with awesome red hair and loves to wear black, since she can't seem to pull off color like her gal pal can. So instead she lives in color through her home, with lots of fun and bright colors. She  is a tough and smart girl. Which paid off one night. She had just finished taking care of a fae when another appeared. He was able to do things that normal fae just can't. And well lucky, for Ivy she survived the shot.

...........

Diving in a bit more....Ivy and Ren are starting to get close. And well, I just love these two! Ren in strong and dreamy. He's pretty funny/cocky.  He does like to hint at doing things with Ivy around and I just love Ivy's reaction. Plus I'm glad to see Ivy starting to like a guy. She is a little hesitant because of her old boyfriend and what happened, but I'm glad she let Ren in.

Then Ren also drops some news to Ivy. About what hes a part of and why hes really in town. I got to learn about him well and about some ancients on the lose....Why are they here? How many are really around and how can you kill them? Then there is mention of the gates....will it be reopened? It is about to be at its weakest point soon. So they should really get a move on things before the ancients get the upper hand.
