We escaped Monday for our 14th anniversary.

Colt planned an amazing little surprise trip and for my Dad to take the kids for 3 days and we escaped to celebrate.

Our trip started off to Chateau Ste Michelle in Woodinville, WA for a wine tasting with pairing. Delish!

We found a few new favorite wines and enjoyed some tasty accompaniments.

We had never been to the winery before but it is gorgeous!

Then we drove the back way to The Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie Falls, WA. One of our favorite local getaways!

He reserved a spa level room with a view of the falls/river, I was in heaven.

I loved the little sitting area next to the window, so perfect for cuddling and reading a book.

Oh and all the rooms have one of these.

A jacuzzi tub big enough for 2! Even with Colts long legs we fit comfortably into the tub!

Then there was the sweet little bath package sitting next to the tub with bath salts, body scrub and a lotion that was to die for along with a few truffles to enjoy.

Then we found 2 truffles on a stick with a vanilla and strawberry dipping sauce, oh my goodness we skipped lunch so we couldn't resist.

Yes the mood was defiantly set.

Then there was this..

I wouldn't have left the room at all but Colt had reserved a private room at the Salish Lodge Dinning Room with a view of the falls for dinner the first night. The food was amazing and the sunset was fabulous, we left the camera and phone in the room on accident, so I'm lacking pictures.

We headed back to our room and enjoyed a fire and the jacuzzi tub with our bath salts.

The view from the sitting area in our room, so very pretty. We enjoyed leaving the window open and lighting a fire to stay warm while listening to the water rush over the rocks.

I love watching the water flow over the rocks in the morning while enjoying breakfast in bed and sipping my coffee.

Then we meandered out of our of our room to enjoy a late lunch in the Attic. The Grilled Peach Salad was amazing, along with the view.

We also snuck down to the spa and enjoyed the therapeutic soaking pools, the remodeled facilities are gorgeous!

Before we left today we went for our daily walk to enjoy the full view of the falls and grabbed this picture, isn't it amazing!

I feel blessed to have been able to spend the last 3 days alone with my groom to unwind and relax. He couldn't have planned a better anniversary present.

I will be back by Friday with a tasty recipe to enjoy!
