A few people have asked me about WordPress hosting and webmail. If you want a professional email address that matches your domain name, then you can set that up through your WordPress hosting account.

If you’re a business owner with a website; it looks like more professional if you use an email address that matches your domain name versus a GMAIL account. For example, which looks more professional, Matt2012@gmail.com or Matt@bestwebhostinginc.com ?

Some WordPress hosting providers will come with a FREE email account. GoDaddy and InMotion will come with at least 1 free email account, and BlueHost comes with unlimited email accounts.

Both InMotion and Bluehost will give you access to C-Panel. You will see the email icon within your C-Panel. You can click the icon to create your email account. If you’re the webmaster for your website, here are some examples of good email addresses:

YourName@domain.com

contact@domain.com

info@domain.com

webmaster@domain.com

support@domain.com

You can also use the “forwarding” feature to forward your webmail to another email address. So if you use Gmail a lot, then you can set up your webmail to forward all your messages to your Gmail account.

GoDaddy uses the Hosting Control Center to set up webmail addresses. The process is a little bit different with GoDaddy, so you might have to call customer service once to help you activate your free email account and set it up. The process is still very simple, but there are a few extra steps.

Once you get used to GoDaddy’s hosting control center, then you’ll find that it’s just as easy as C-panel. If you want to be taken serious, then make sure you that you set up a professional email before you launch your website. It makes a huge difference.
