A SCHS Jazz Band string bass player plays his instrument Friday during a practice session at the school. During the Jazz Festival Competition on Saturday the band will play “Stay on It,” “Embraceable You” and “The Chicken.”

S-C Director of Percussion Ashley Peck said the band is composed of brass, saxophone, piano, drums, bass guitar and string bass. The students will perform and compete in Clara Thompson Hall at Drury University Saturday afternoon.
