MY REVIEW

We were so excited to watch this movie since we are animal lovers and my kids loved the extras we received and it got them even more excited! The movie is really cute. The main character is a dog named Max and he loves his owner more than anything, but he can’t figure out why she leaves him all day. He sits around and just waits for her to return. In the beginning of the show, it’s really fun to see how all the other animals in Max’s apartment building act and behave after their owner’s leave. One day his owner returns, but she brings with her a huge dog named Duke. Max is not happy and makes it well known to Duke. Max has the brilliant idea to get Duke to go find his owner. They end up in all kinds of mischief and trouble, but all of that leads to them becoming great friends.

This is such a great family movie. It’s a great plot, the characters are adorable and have such fun personalities that are fun to watch, and the music is awesome. We have a dog and we always wonder what he does after we leave, so my kids and I had a fun discussion after the movie as we came up with all kinds of scenarios. This would make the perfect gift this Christmas, so be sure to look for The Secret Life of Pets Blu-ray when it’s released on December 6th.
