Over the course of the past year I have noticed more and more tracks showing the exclamation mark alongside the track and of course this don’t play and I can’t find them on my computer. Apart from maybe 1/2 dozen downloads that I got via a gift voucher all the tracks are music I have up added from CD’s which  has taken a long time to do. Now its is telling me that that over 14,000 tracks can’t be found

To test it out. over the weekend re-imported an album that was previously added to iTunes and those tracks are not showing on iTunes even though the import completed in the normal way.

Can anyone give me an idea of what is going on. I don’t want to lose all my playlists and music and potentially spend weeks re-importing them to have the same thing happen again. mac os version
