This Saturday, October 1st, Pawsitive Alliance will host its  Shelter Open House 2016 in animal shelters across Washington.

This is not just a gigantic adoption event (last year’s event had 446 adoptions!). Even if you’re not looking to adopt a dog you should join the party and take a trip to your community animal shelter during the Shelter Open House.

Many fun activities are being planned at each shelter from adoption specials, to raffles, giveaways, and themed parties.

It’s a great opportunity to see the great work your community’s animal shelter is doing for pets in need.

You can also help the animals get adopted by visiting the shelters, taking some pictures, and sharing them with your friends.

The goal of the statewide Shelter Open House is to raise awareness of animal shelters across Washington and the homeless animals in their care, and to help those pets find forever homes.

Listed below are links to participating shelter and what they have planned for the day. If you see a shelter that doesn’t have an event listed, check with the shelter directly.

Name Your Price Adoption Event!

For the Statewide Shelter Open House we invite our entire valley community to spend the day with all the adoptable pets at the shelter. We know that every pet deserves a forever family. We want to make this dream come true for ALL our shelter cats and dogs.

So, we have decided to have the Name Your Price Adoption Event! Every adoptable pet in the shelter will be a fee-waived adoption.  Yet, we also know our supporters would like the opportunity to donate to help us continue our mission.  We are going to let them set the adoption price for each pet!
As well as: KONG gift bags, raffle contest including 6 Big Red Dog Houses (handmade by the local Boy Scouts), games, goodies, and more!
