In case you didn’t notice as you biked to work shivering in your sweater, it’s summer! And that means more bikey events every weekend than you can keep track of. What a great problem to have!

Here’s a likely non-exhaustive list of what’s happening. If you know something I missed, let us know in the comments below.

Linden Ave Complete Streets Launch Party

Join SDOT, the mayor and neighborhood residents and activists for a celebration marking the official completion of the Linden Avenue Complete Streets Project.

One key part of the project is a protected two-way bikeway filling a key gap in the Interurban North bike route. For more on that, see our previous post.

The celebration starts at 10 a.m. Saturday morning at the Bitter Lake Community Center.

Hello Bicycle Community Ride

Beacon Hill bike shop Hello Bicycle is hosting a community bike ride at 11:30 a.m. Saturday. Meet at the shop, Beacon Ave S and S Hanford Street. The ride will head to Madison Park Beach.

Here is the route for our ride on Saturday. We leave the shop at 11:30. Hope to see you there. http://t.co/cNY5J26UXC

World Naked Bike Ride

Seattle’s World Naked Bike Ride is largely overshadowed by the very popular Fremont Solstice painted bike ride (which, some say, helped launch the World Naked Bike Ride phenomenon worldwide), 2013 will be the tenth year Seattle has held a daytime World Naked Bike Ride event.

Riders will meet at the south end of Myrtle Edwards Park at noon for a 1 p.m. departure. The tour will go all around downtown and typically crashes the Seattle Center Fountain.

C’est Magnifique

Hub and Bespoke will once again host a French-inspired Bastille Day bike ride: C’est Magnifique! Details:

When: Sunday, July 14th, noon to 3 p.m.
Where: We’ll meet at the Calf and Kid on Capitol Hill (here’s a map). From there we’ll make a couple stops for picnic essentials before landing at Gasworks Park.
What to bring: Your friends, your picnic supplies, and your bike of course!
What to wear: Your finest French-inspired looks.

Porch Party at G&O Family Cyclery’s In-Progress Storefront

Come join us this Sunday! We’ll be hanging out with our buds from Xtracycle and showing off the new, improved EdgeRunner. This is a special opportunity to see this sought-after bike in the flesh. It’ll still be a couple of months before these babies are available for sale anywhere!

Tyler and I will be taking pre-orders and talking about the shop and showing pictures of our kids when we aren’t out on our own test rides or grinning like idiots at how cool this all is.

First Annual Electric and Folding Bike Rally

At Ballard’s Electric and Folding Bikes Northwest. Awesome.

Bicycle Sunday

It’s Bicycle Sunday on Lake Washington Boulevard in South Seattle! Always a happy and fun place to be. 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. from Mount Baker Beach to Seward Park.
