Position Title: Front-End Web Engineer
Where: Seattle, WA
What: Bright Spectrum is a digital engineering agency that creates user experiences and provides content management and marketing tools for mid-size to enterprise companies and marketing/design agencies throughout the Puget Sound area and beyond. We have an immediate opening for our Seattle office for a front-end web engineer.
Responsibilities: While this is primarily a front-end engineering position, the ideal candidate will have both front-end and back-end web development experience. As a front-end web engineer will work with as part of a collaborative team that includes other developers, project managers and external creative teams. You will be responsible for developing high-quality web sites and applications, providing project estimates and delivering within those estimates.
Requirements:
- 3-5 years in-depth web development experience – agency experience a big plus.
- Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript – across all browsers and devices
- Understanding of mobile experiences and constraints when developing cross-platform solution.
- Eager and openness to learning new platforms, technology and programming languages
- Critical ability to independently glean information and act on it with limited supervision
- Able to self-manage concurrent responsibilities and tasks
- Some ASP.NET programming experience is a huge plus.
- Experiences with web services and SOAP and XML is a plus.
Skills:
- Creating ASP.NET templates (i.e. masterpages, layouts and themes)
- Experience working with any .NET CMS platforms but in particular Kentico CMS, EpiServer CMS or DNN Evoq/DotNetNuke
- Experience working with any .NET CMS platforms but in particular EpiServer Commerce, Znode or AspDotNetStorefront
- Working with Subversion or Git source control
- Responsive design and development experience
- LESS/SASS experience
- Experience with Photoshop
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, Angular, NodeJS, Kendo, etc.)
- Experience working within Visual Studio
