## Description

Come intern with Intel's **New Devices Group - Basis** (**NDG-B**). The research team at Basis is looking for someone with excellent sensor engineering and communication skills to contribute directly to the top secret projects we are cooking up in our labs. You would be a part of the team conducting and analyzing experiments for high risk, high reward opportunities in the wearable sensing field. As an intern you will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with engineers and designers across several disciplines to bring ideas from the drawing board through proof-of-concept to the production stage.

The successful candidate will play well with others, bring a high level of curiosity and creativity to an already dynamic team and have a strong interest in consumer electronic devices / quantified self.

## Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your school work/classes/research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

**Minimum Requirements:**

* Must be pursuing an MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other science/engineering related field.

* Minimum of 3 months lab experience

* Minimum of 3 months experience with physiological signals (such as body motion accelerometry, heart rate, temperature, or perspiration)

**Preferred Requirements:**
Experience developing device hardware and/or firmware
Experience with rapid prototyping tools such as Arduino
Completed or contributed to projects in Python, R, or Matlab/Octave
Experience with data analysis and visualization
