Luna Shamsuddoha



Luna Shamsuddoha is an IT entrepreneur and Chairman of the software firm Dohatec New Media, in Dhaka Bangladesh, which she founded in 1992. She leads the management team and is responsible for overseas marketing, quality and emerging technology oversight, monitoring Project Implementation of overseas contracts.  She has received recognition for her path breaking work internationally. She is Member, Council of Global Thought Leaders on Inclusive Growth, Switzerland. The eminent Council comprises of 32 distinguished persons including Nobel Laureates, Professors, former Presidents, and Cabinet Ministers.

Her company is an Independent Software Vendor (ISV) and System Integrator. Dohatec provides software solutions to institutions, government agencies and corporations in USA, Canada, Germany, Switzerland and Bangladesh. Dohatec’s key clients are The World Bank, World Health Organisation, US Postal Service, Government of Bangladesh and Bangladesh Army. Dohatec is a Certifying Authority and issues Digital Certificates including identification certificates and SSL Certificates. It has PKI enablement solutions as well.

Sonia Bashir Kabir



Sonia is currently the Managing Director for Microsoft Bangladesh, Founder President of TiE Dhaka & Board Member of the American International School, Dhaka. Besides co-founding an IT firm – Syntec, Sonia has also served as the Country Manager for Dell Bangladesh, Director Business Development for South East Asia, Emerging Markets in Microsoft and Chief Operating Officer for Aamra Technologies Limited. Educated and trained in Silicon Valley, Sonia lived in Northern California for 20 years. After completing her MBA, she worked in Silicon Valley for Fortune 100 companies including Sun Microsystems and Oracle, start-ups and in the financial district. Her expertise includes strategic planning and growth, sales execution, financial management, team building and change management.

Farhana A. Rahman

Rumesa Hussain

Currently the Partner Sales Executive at Microsoft Bangladesh, she has worked in the IT industry for last 18 years she started off her career in IBM WTC focusing on selling large enterprise solutions for 6 years followed on to HP for 7 years and worked in the regional position covering 6 countries in the emerging markets. She has also worked with DELL Bangladesh managing channel partners .

Rezwana Khan

Rezwana Khan is one of the Directors and the Chief Operating Officer of Star Computer Systems Limited. She is leading the company specializing in web, e-commerce, e-governance, financial management System, ERP, and ICT training. She has been leading the company through stringent reorganization since she joined from 2004 and plays a crucial role in the company strategy, operations, business development, organizational design and technology. She is currently working in parallel as Lead ICT Expert under the Capacity Development for Local Governments Project funded by SDC for last 2 years for Bangladesh Academy for Rural Development (BARD), Rural Development Academy (RDA) and National Institute of Local Government (NILG). Amongst her other notable accomplishments, she has provided national consultancy for E-Governance Services to set up an efficient and cost effective Child Labour Information Monitoring System in MOLE. She has also provided Services for the Development of web portal for Food Security for Ultra Poor (FSUP) Programme, European Union . She has also provided consultancy services for Privatization Commission’s component of IDA to assist the Institutional strengthening of BEPZA, BOI, PC and BSCIC. Currently she is providing consultancy services as a Lead ICT Expert under the Capacity Development for Local Governments Project funded by SDC. Rezwana Khan holds a bachelors degree from the North South University, Bangladesh where she majored in Computer Science with a minor in Management Information Systems.

Rubaba Dowla

Ms. Dowla is a highly experienced leader with successful track record of brand management, product innovations and corporate communication. She has been instrumental in building Telenor subsidiary Grameenphone, as number one brand and market leader with more than USD 1 billion revenue from a start-up stage . She is currently heading Services and M-commerce portfolio of Airtel Bangladesh. She has more than 12 years of experience in telecommunications field having extensive experience in formulating corporate vision and long term strategy, leading all marketing related functions including spearheading numerous product innovations with P&L responsibility, segmentation,VAS, Brand management and development etc.

She spearheaded and launched innovative services first time in Bangladesh eg- Utility bill pay, banking transactions details thru sms, GP portal, djuice product for youth segment, Pay4me services , Cell bazaar, Community information services (CIC), Healthline service etc. In addition she innovated the unique mobile to mobile service which revolutionized the mobile growth in Bangladesh and established a range of value added services portfolio, out of which couple of initiatives received 3GSMA Global Mobile Award in 2007 and 2008 consecutively in the category of “Best Use of mobile for social and economic development”.

She earned both national and international accolades at corporate and personal level; Top 50 Women in mobile content, Mobile Entertainment Forum; Begum Rokeya Shining personality award in 2006;Ananya top 10 women in Bangladesh in 2007; Top 5 most powerful women in mobile in Asia, Charged magazine, Hong Kong. In addition she was listed in Who’s who 100 women leaders in Bangladesh.
