Any of my readers mask lovers? I love face masks and I’ve been wanting a new mud mask for quite some time, specifically, a Dead Sea mud mask. I don’t know what it is but whenever I see “Dead Sea” in any face product I immediately think, “oh that’s the good stuff.” So I eagerly jumped at the opportunity to test Pure & Essential Minerals Dead Sea Mud Mask.
Here’s some 411 (from the box!):
The Dead Sea, situated between Israel and Jordan, is 1400 feet below sea level and the lowest point on the earth’s surface. The healing properties of its mineral-rich mud have been revered for centuries. This facial mask draws out impurities, toxins and excess oils leaving your skin feeling soft and clean. Dead Sea minerals nourish and restore the skin’s vitality, stimulate and improve blood circulation, resulting in a wonderful glow.

The greenish colored mask is very thick which I like and is great since the recommendation is to apply a medium layer on the skin. I admit, sometimes I overdo this step! There is a minty-tingly feeling when applied to the face that feels so refreshing. I leave it on for about 15 to 20 minutes (sometimes more, oops!) before rinsing off.
I can attest to the soft and clean feeling as well as the removal of any impurities and excess oil; hello, I’m the greasiest person ever! I’m still trying to clear up my skin from a breakout I had after trying a CC cream and this Dead Sea mud mask definitely helped with that. I immediately felt and saw a difference in my skin. Having my pores purged helped to better absorb the products I was using on my acne prone skin.
Using a mask on your face at least once a week helps to remove dead skin cells, revive tired skin, and clean out your pores; all triggers for that dreaded pimple. ugh! If you are looking for a new mask or have been wanting to try a Dead Sea mask like I was, then I would recommend you give this one by Pure & Essential Minerals a shot.
Hey, pamper yourself every now and then! You may not always have the time or funds to hit up a spa so pencil in a “Mask Day” on your calendar. Put some relaxing music on, sit back, sip on some wine, and let the Dead Sea mask do its thing on your skin. You won’t be disappointed!
