This season of “All Stars 2” has been taken over by a trio of queens collectively known as Rolaskatox: Roxxxy Andrews, Alaska and Detox. These three all competed together back on Season 5, and their united bond has kept them in competition this season, whether they deserved to be or not.
Yes, we’re sipping the tea on Roxxxy, and yes, it’s going to be frustrating watching the “Drag Race” finale without the talented Alyssa Edwards — even RuPaul gasped in surprise when Detox sent her packing — but Thursday’s (Oct. 13) finale will still be a fierce battle for the runway, henny.

The final judgment is back where it should have been all along: Solely in the hands of our brilliant leader, Mama Ru. Like Big Brother, she’s going to take into account everything these queens have said, read, sewed and worn down the runway throughout the entire competition. While Roxxxy has zero chance of getting inducted into the “Drag Race” Hall of Fame –and her performances look that much more mediocre surrounded by these far more talented queens — it’s shaping up to be a nail-biting photo finish between Katya, Alaska and Detox for the crown.
Will Katya’s dance moves put her over the top? Is Detox’s weirdo brand unique enough to set her apart? And did frontrunner Alaska put a blemish on her near-perfect record after her meltdown last week ? It’s hard to forget how, even after her fusillade of F-bombs and tragic self-pity party, Alaska tried to bribe Detox and Katya.
“I’ll give you $10,000 if you let me stay, before taxes,” Alaska announced. “I’ll transfer it to you via PayPal because I need to stay in this competition. I need to be in the final four.”
Watching Alaska lower herself to this level is embarrassing for Alaska, and embarrassing for all of us. After the episode aired, Alaska put her money where her mouth to try and make up for it.
On Tuesday (Oct. 11) Alaska and Detox, who won last week’s lip-sync, decided to donate $5,000 each (before taxes!, haha) to the Trans Kids Purple Foundation, an nonprofit for transgender youth. This generous act is to be applauded, Detox and Alaska will be way less charitable towards each other come finale time.

Previews for the “All Stars 2” showdown reveal Alaska cringing when RuPaul calls out the Rolaskatox alliance for why each of them have made it this far. Remember Season 5? She sure does. The Final Four was Rolaskatox and one other person — Jinkx Monsoon, who was crowned the winner.
Announcing that she’s pulling away from the she-pack now that they’re at the finish line because she wants to “win this f***ing thing”? Detox stares at her like she just ripped off her weave and announced she’s straight.
Detox wants to win, too — she really wants to win. Detox would donate a lung and name her first adopted child RuPaul if it meant getting the crown. And with the shade that’s flying, it seems Detox is set to use that temper tantrum against Alaska — claim her best friend is emotionally unstable and not a dependable representative of how a drag queen should conduct herself in stressful situations.

Roxxxy is a mere bystander to all this, by the way. She’s totally aware of her chances in this finale, and is happy just to be there. You go, Roxxxy girl! We respect you living your truth. It’s exactly that humble attitude we’ve loved all along.
So who will win? Will Season 5 repeat itself, and see Katya walks away with the $100K grand prize? Or will she sashay away after getting so close to the crown she could grab it and lick it? That mysterious diadem has done way worse to way stronger, my precious.
Anyway — and either way — good luck to the ladies, remember friendship is a ship that never sinks, and do not be intimidated by the wild eyes of Detox. See you on the other side.
