Makeup artist for pop stars Katy Perry, Selena Gomez and more Jake Bailey was found dead in his Los Angeles apartment on Friday (Oct. 23). TMZ reports that Bailey reportedly died from carbon monoxide poisoning but an official autopsy will be conducted by the LA Coroner’s Office.
The 37-year old is most famous for her work with Katy Perry, notably her Cosmopolitan magazine cover, however Bailey has been working with Selena Gomez as she promotes her new album “Revival.”
Bailey posted a picture of himself with Gomez at her Refinery 29 photoshoot just a week before his passing. His last Instagram update was a picture of himself on Thursday (Oct. 22).
Another celebrity friend of Bailey’s,”Shameless” star Emmy Rossum, took to Twitter to express her condolences and sadness over the loss. “If there are angels in heaven, they just got a little prettier… because Jake is up there painting their faces… putting lashes on them…,” she writes.
