It's that time of year. The turkeys are all in hiding (or should be!), the humans are counting the hours till Wednesday at 5:00, and kids everywhere are preparing to overindulge on pie, cake, cookies...and candy. It's Thanksgivingtime! <waves hands in the air as she dances around her desk>
Who doesn't LOVE Thanksgiving? It's the best holiday of the year. It's truly the one time of year that families get together for love of each other, love of good food, and a chance to thank their lucky stars for the blessings in their lives. For me, it's a time to look back, also. To remember. And, in the remembering, I learn to appreciate where I am today and what I have - like my fur-kids, one and all.
PLUS... on Thanksgiving day... the National Dog Show, presented by Purina, arrives to a local TV in your house (and mine)! I'm sorry. I know some folks are down on dog shows, but I'm not one of them. I adore the dogs shows. I know a few truly outstanding breeders who write about dogs shows and who are as devoted to their charges as I am to mine. So, the National Dog Show is a big part of why I love Thanksgiving.
