There have been a multitude of amazing adoptions throughout the past couple of weeks at Tree House Humane Society. We are so excited to share their stories with you!

Virginia Wolfe, though smart, scholarly, and talented, has a secret cuddly side. If the mood struck her, she would quietly crawl up on your lap. Virginia Wolfe hung out with us on the first floor at our Uptown facility. While she wasn’t a huge fan of other cats, her and Ronald (another first floor resident) didn’t seem to mind passing the days on the window sill together. When a lovely adopter came in and visited with all of the residents and landed on Virginia Wolfe, we were ecstatic! This lovely, refined lady would finally find a home!

Finch (pictured above) is a cat that was adopted from Tree House nearly a decade ago. Unfortunately, this handsome man came back to Tree House about 10 lbs heavier than when he left. He went into our special diet room where he slowly lost a little bit of that weight and became the healthy kitty he should be! He loved head pets and headbutted with the strength of his entire body. We were very confused when it took him several months to swoon an adopter into taking him home, but his day came. An adopter looking for her first feline companion saw Finch for all the gentle, handsome, boyish charm that he has.

Verda, a lady of shoulder dwelling, head pets, cat trees and beauty, spent a while here. Like most cats that aren’t fans of other cats, Verda had a hard time showing her true colors with adopters. She was often fearful of coming down from her perch to visit. Rather than coming down on the floor to visit with adopters, she would wait until they stood near her cat tree and then would find a shoulder to perch on. While this often surprised adopters, it is also what made adopters fall in love with this sweet little lady.

Lilah Love’s adopter wasn’t intending on adopting a cat when she came in to assist her roommate in finding a furry friend. That speaks to the power of Lilah Love’s existence. Aptly named, Lilah Love, loved attention from anyone, furry or skin covered. Her adopter decided to come in a couple days later and make that lovely decision to take Lilah Love home.

Dancing George W and his brother Manhattan were abandoned with their six  siblings on the steps of a church in the Hermosa neighborhood in July when they were only two weeks old. Thankfully, the church’s youth group brought them to Tree House.

Dancing George W is a very silly and playful kitten. He’s very adventurous, but doesn’t know his limits. He enjoys spending his days playing and cuddling with his siblings.  Manhattan is the more mature of the pair, but just as cuddly and playful as his brother. They are just the sweetest cats you’ll ever meet! The entire litter loves all the TLC from humans that they can get!

A family made several visits to Tree House to find the perfect addition to their family. Initially, they only wanted one kitten, but couldn’t resist the affectionate and playful ways of the tuxedo boys! After taking some time to think things over, they were back to adopt the brothers. Dancing George and Manhattan will have another cat and a dog for friends!

Not even an hour later, two more kittens found their forever homes! Quinn Wolfe and Avery Wolfe are adorably sweet kittens who came to us from a traditional shelter. They weren’t even on the adoption floor for 24 hours before a couple fell in love with the adorable sisters!

Much like the Wolfe Sisters, George Washington Carver,  was only here for a mere 48 hours before he found his forever home! George Washington Carver has the smartest of smart tabby faces and a very happy-go-lucky personality! A couple had spent some time with him on Saturday and came back shortly after we opened to adopt George!

We are so excited that these cats found their forever homes!
