First National Community Bancorp, Inc., (OTC Markets Group, Inc.: FNCB), the parent company of Dunmore-based FNCB Bank, is pleased to announce the appointment of Gerard A. Champi President and Chief Executive Officer of both the Company and the Bank as well as a member of the Board of Directors.
Jerry replaces former President and CEO Steven Tokach who retired on June 30.
Champi joined FNCB Bank in 1991 and has over 30 years banking experience. Most recently he served as the Bank’s Chief Operating Officer. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Wilkes University where he received his MBA.
An active member of the local community, Mr. Champi is Executive Vice President and a Board Member of Northeastern Pennsylvania Council Boy Scouts of America; Lackawanna Blind Association Board Member; Saint Joseph’s Center Board Member; Past President of the Greater Pittston Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; Past President of the Luzerne County Community College Foundation Board of Directors; Penn State Worthington Scranton Campus Advisory Board Member and a lifetime member of Penn State Alumni Association.
