Happy Monday! We hope you all had a fabulous weekend! Anybody attend a wedding out there? It was a busy wedding weekend in the Phoenix area, as it is drop dead gorgeous out there! This time of year is quite popular, and it's easy to see why with this weather, the bright blue skies, and chilly starlit evenings.
We have some exciting news to share with you all! We were contacted by a representative at RedEnvelope, which you if you aren't aware is an amazing online retailer that has a fabulous Wedding Gifts page, among their countless offerings. If you also aren't aware, RedEnvelope sponsors an annual contest called the Empire State Building Valentine’s Day Contest, and we are helping them to spread the word! What an amazing opportunity! If I wasn't married already, this would be so fun! As the prize is for a fabulous dream wedding on Valentine's Day at the iconic Empire State Building, submissions are due by December 5th, 2013!
How to enter? It's easy-Couples are to submit a creative proposal detailing their personal love story for the chance to have their dream wedding at the iconic Empire State Building!
To help inspire you, our lovely readers, and to get you acquainted with RedEnvelope's unique wedding gifts, I've rounded up my top picks from their site, seen here:
monogrammed artisan candles | cocktail recipes | baby elephant ring holder |
story of us wall art | twisted candle sticks | important dates pillow
chateau wine bucket | wall gallery frame | mixing bowl set | kitchen towels
I selected these items because not only do I think they will be of great use, like the mixing bowls, the kitchen towels, and the wine bucket, but also the personalization of everything, especially the wall art and pillow. I can see this all in a newlywed couple's abode.
Likewise, to help inspire for a Valentine's Day wedding at the Empire State Building, I've created an inspiration board that features a soft pink and glittery gold palette, with touches reminiscent of a sophisticated wedding in NYC:

You cannot go wrong with pink and gold glitter, in my book anyway! And it works not just for Valentine's Day with the soft pinks, but the gold glitter effects are dazzling like the lights and sounds of busy NYC. I'd love to try those lollipops with gold flakes in them, and the gold leaf coated martini glass rims!
We hope you've found some fun inspiration here, and good luck on all those entries for the Empire State Building Valentine’s Day Contest! Let us know if you won!
