The annual Silver Creek Club championship began play on August 20th with contestants playing in three divisions including men’s, women’s and senior.
Defending champion Joe Mazza leads the men’s field following a first round total of 80. Derek McKay is three shots behind at 83 while Joey Lesage and Jason Chilelli both are four back at 84.
In the senior division defending champion Howard Dupuis fired a first round 80 to lead John Catterick by three shots. Jim Walsh trails by six following a first round 86.
In the ladies division Esther Muncaster and Evie Clargo are tied following first a first round score of 94.
The 36 hole stroke play event wraps up Sunday August 21st with final round action set to get underway at 9:00 a.m.
