Registration is still open for the Girls Elite Camp and Laker College Basketball Experience summer camps, hosted by the Lake Superior State women’s basketball team.

The Girls Elite Camp for skilled high school aged girls (grades 8-12) will be held August 6-7 and cost $200. This camp offers the chance for participants to learn the necessary skills to become an elite high school player and college basketball prospect. The camp is highly recommended for players seeking to elevate their game with instruction by college coaches in a highly competitive setting.

The Girls Elite Camp participants will have the opportunity to strengthen their natural position, or to work on less-defined skills at one of the other positions on the court. Campers will participate in lectures, film viewing and individual development and teaching by the Lakers coaching staff, as well as current and former collegiate student-athletes.

The Laker College Basketball Experience Overnight Camp will be held August 8th – 9th and costs $175.00 or $100.00 for commuter campers. This camp offers the chance for each camper to learn the necessary skills to become a successful high school player and get a glimpse of college basketball life. It is recommended for players looking to improve their skills, enjoy the company of their friends, work with college coaches and players, and have the option of experiencing an overnight stay in dorms.

Online registration for both camps is available at www.lssulakers.com/camps/ camps-list. Registration forms are also available at the Norris Center. Registrations must be accompanied by medical history and insurance forms, which are also available on the LSSU Athletics web site inside the “Camps” section.

For more information regarding the camps, contact LSSU women’s basketball assistant coach Logan Fletcher at (906) 635-2368 or by email at lfletcher1@lssu.edu.
