GREEN BAY, WI—(Marketwired – December 21, 2015) – Northeast Wisconsin will have access to new children's health specialty services beginning January 1, 2016 through a collaboration between Aurora Health Care and UW Health. Services will be offered on the Aurora BayCare Medical Center campus in Green Bay and the Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh campus.

This collaboration will introduce new pediatric specialty services to the Green Bay market, including neurosurgery, urology, pulmonology and nephrology. Also in Green Bay, additional services will include cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, general surgery and plastic surgery.

Services that will be available in Oshkosh include pediatric pulmonology, orthopedics, urology, gastroenterology and cardiology.

“Through Aurora's collaboration with UW Health, we're now able to offer pediatric specialty care to children in northeast Wisconsin,” said Kevin Dahlman, MD, chair of Aurora Children's Health. “Families will no longer need to travel long distances for this care, which is so important when the health of a child is at stake.”

One in five newborns in the state of Wisconsin is born in an Aurora hospital, including Aurora BayCare Medical Center and Aurora Medical Center in Oshkosh, and this collaboration will offer families a complete array of medical care to address everything from routine to complex medical issues. Aurora has more than 100 pediatric providers throughout its service area.

“The same UW Health specialists from American Family Children's Hospital in Madison will see patients at these locations,” said Jeff Poltawsky, senior vice president of American Family Children's Hospital. “We are pleased that northeast Wisconsin families will continue to have convenient access to pediatric specialists in cardiology, orthopedics, urology and many others.”
