ALEXANDRIA, VA—(Marketwired – September 02, 2016) – Whether navigating from the public to the private sector, transitioning as an independent contractor, or simply looking for a new opportunity, security professionals from across the profession will get answers to their most pressing career–related questions and challenges at the ASIS 2016, (ISC)2 Security Congress, and InfraGard 20th Anniversary Congress and Conference, Sept. 12–15 in Orlando, Florida. Now in its fifth year, the career center will take place in booth 4173 and is free to all attendees.
In addition to career coaching and resume review services, the career center features a robust slate of professional development programs produced by the ASIS Young Professionals Council, who will also maintain a full–time presence at the Center.
“The Council jumped at the opportunity to take on this leadership role and to develop programs that reflect the diverse opportunities our profession offers to both current and future security leaders,” said Ed Batchelor, PSP, Regional Director, Guidepost Solutions and chair of the ASIS Young Professionals Council. “The education, coaching, and expert career advice will benefit attendees at all stages of their careers–whether you are just getting started or you're a seasoned security pro.”
Career Center Highlights include:
Complimentary resume reviews and career coaching led by experienced security management career and leadership development coaches
Senior security executives from Microsoft, Chicago Cubs, FBI, and Skywalker Ranch, sharing their career path stories and what they look for in new hires

On Wednesday, Sept. 14, the Career Center will transform into a networking venue where employers, senior ASIS and (ISC)2 leadership, and cyber and enterprise security professionals can network and discuss career opportunities over coffee from 9:00–11:00 a.m.
The full program can be found at www.securityexpo.org/careercenter
