RRsat Global signs LATAM distribution deal with Cisneros

RRsat Global has inked a seven-year agreement with Cisneros Media, one of the largest producers of Spanish-language content in the Americas, as well as the owner and operator of pay-TV channels in the region.
RRsat will provide Cisneros Media with full playout and global distribution services for channels including Venevision Plus, VmasTV and VePlusTV. As business and operations expand, a new RRsat playout centre will be established at the Venevision Studios in Miami.

RRsat's Media Asset Management (MAM) system enables Cisneros Media to acquire large volumes of content in real time and automatically playout and distribute it. RRsat will also have fibre connectivity to its US media centre in Hawley, Pa. and RRsat's global fibre network, providing the ability to expand into additional global markets.
