The first name drawn in SATSA’s Bucket List Bonanza is Carolyne Ungersbock of 3 Melrose Road, a guesthouse offering executive accommodation in the Sandton locale.  Carolyne took one of eight tickets offered for the Rovos Rail prize.  She will soon be stepping into the gracious age of steam train travel, spending two nights on the track between Johannesburg and Cape Town.  At either end, she and her travelling companion will be accommodated in the epitome of luxury at the One & Only on the V&A Waterfront and the Saxon in Sandton.  There’s also a helicopter flight over Table Mountain and a hot air balloon safari in the Magaliesberg to drool over.

There are seven other mind-blowing destination prizes on offer in the Bucket List Bonanza, and with only eight tickets sold per draw, the odds on a win are excellent.  The promotion, launched at the Spier conference in August, aims to raise funds for SATSA, and give members an opportunity to enjoy high-end travel experiences at relatively little cost.  Tickets sell for R5 000 and each prize is valued at R50 000.  As soon as a maximum of eight tickets per prize is sold, the draw will be made.

A novel idea for companies is to utilise one of the prizes as part of an employee incentive.

Here are details of the remaining prizes (all for two people sharing; except the golf trip which is for four people):
