Eligibility Terms
Age: Maximum 38 years (as on 01.01.2016).
Education & Experience:
Professor (Stage 5) in Agricultural Engineering – Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in disciplines of Agricultural Engineering as relevant to the requirement of the post from an Indian university or a foreign university., Ph.D. Degree in any field of Agricultural Engineering, A minimum of 10 (ten) years of service experience (excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree) in teaching/ research/ extension, out of which a minimum of 5 (five) years as Associate Professor or Equivalent in a university or research/extension institution.
Associate Professor (Stage 4) & Equivalent in Agricultural Engineering – Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Engineering, Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in disciplines of Agricultural Engineering from an Indian university or a foreign university, Ph.D. Degree in any field of Agricultural Engineering, A minimum of 8 (eight) years of service experience (excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree) in teaching/ research/ extension as Assistant Professor or Equivalent in a university or research/extension institution.
Associate Professor in Agro-meteorology – Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics or Meteorology as the major subject OR Passed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture/Sericulture, Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in Meteorology/Agricultural Meteorology/ Agronomy/ Horticulture from an Indian university or a foreign university., Ph.D. Degree in any field of Agricultural Meteorology/ Climatology/Environmental Science., A minimum of 8 (eight) years of service experience (excluding the period spent in obtaining Ph.D. Degree) in teaching/ research/ extension as Assistant Professor or Equivalent in a university or research/extension institution.
Assistant Professor (Stage-1) & Equivalent in the disciplines of Plant Breeding & Genetics, – Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture/Veterinary Science, Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in relevant disciplines of Agriculture/Veterinary Science from an Indian university or a foreign university., Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is not required for disciplines in which NET is not conducted. NET is waived for candidates with Ph.D. degree, provided such degree is obtained under course credit system in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree, 2009 Regulation) and the candidate has at least two full length publications having NAAS rating not less than 4, on the last date of submission of application. NET requirement is not mandatory for the discipline Agricultural Engineering.
Assistant Professor (Stage-I) & Equivalent of Statistics – Passed Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Statistics as the major subject, OR Passed Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Veterinary Science/Home Science/Fisheries/Forestry, Secured minimum 55% marks or minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (MCGPA) of 3.00 in 4 point scale or 7.00 in 10 point scale at the Master’s degree level in Statistics/Agricultural Statistics from an Indian university or a foreign university, Qualified National Eligibility Test (NET). NET is not required for disciplines in which NET is not conducted. Administrative Officer – Passed Bachelor’s degree in Arts/Commerce/Science of a recognized University, The candidate must have served for at least 10 years in the line of general administration, out of which 5 years must be in a responsible post in the rank of UDA or equivalent or still higher post in Government/Semi Government or recognized Public Institutions/Undertakings, Proficiency in computer and experience in Microsoft Office, MBA/PGDM from accredited institute.
Programme Co-ordinator under KVK – Doctoral degree in the relevant field of Agriculture/Horticulture/Animal Science/Fisheries including relevant basic science with 8 years experience in the relevant subject as Scientist/Lecturer/Extension Specialist or in an equivalent position in the pay band 3 of Rs. 15,600 –Rs. 39,100/- with grade pay of Rs. 5,400/-, Rs. 6,000/-, Rs. 7000/- or Rs. 8,000/- having made contribution to research/teaching/extension education as evidenced by published work/innovations and impact.
Farm Manager – Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from a recognized University.
Programme Asstt. (Veterinary) – Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science from a recognized University.
Driver-cum-mechanic – HSLC with driving license for both heavy and light vehicle, At least five years experience of driving a car or jeep or a mini bus The qualifications will be relaxable for the MR/Fixed Pay workers driving University vehicles for at least 12 years., Experience of working as vehicle mechanic in an establishment.
