WALLDORF — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that SAP Solution Manager 7.2 has experienced high implementation rates by SAP customers, with several hundred going live every month since its general availability in August 2016.

SAP Solution Manager is designed to optimize the value of SAP S/4HANA through its entire lifecycle, and is fully incorporated in all SAP Value Assurance service packages for SAP S/4HANA. The implementation road map for SAP Solution Manager 7.2 provides packaged, best-practice-support process management, while allowing solutions to be customized to give customers the best fit.

SAP Solution Manager 7.2 provides an adoption framework that makes it easier and faster for customers to gain value from the software. Customers can now deploy SAP S/4HANA and other SAP solutions based on formulas for return on investment derived from the ever-growing number of communities taking advantage of the premium engagements portfolio from SAP.

Some of the highlights SAP Solution Manager 7.2 offers to leaders of the SAP ERP application who are planning a digital transformation include:

Optimization of SAP S/4HANA: This includes the ability to perform technical realization and operations in one centralized place using models based on SAP S/4HANA.

Support of hybrid scenarios: SAP Customer Competence Center locations can be called on to support hybrid scenarios, which can include new cloud solutions from SAP as well as scenarios running in a non-SAP software landscape.

The use of new ready-to-run extensions: New focused solutions for SAP Solution Manager from SAP offer ready-to-run extensions to SAP Solution Manager for specific user types.

Visualization of effectiveness: The next generation of SAP MaxAttention services and SAP ActiveEmbedded offerings allow customers to visualize existing enterprise resource planning (ERP) business processes graphically, enabling direct measurement of improvements.

When paired with SAP Value Assurance service packages and SAP Model Company services, SAP Solution Manager 7.2 provides the tools to build, test and deploy SAP S/4HANA. It also delivers monitoring functions to track the progress of projects for a smoother transition with little to no disruption to business processes. All SAP Solution Manager 7.2 functions are available for individual customer software landscapes running the SAP HANA platform on-premise or hosted by SAP HANA Enterprise Cloud services.

SAP customers will  receive mainstream maintenance for SAP Solution Manager 7.1 until Dec. 31, 2017, when the 7.1 version will enter customer-specific maintenance.
