With approximately 20,000 startups and 2.2 million high tech workers (more than 50% of which are under the age of 39), it’s no wonder Silicon Valley continues to serve as the global icon of startup culture for entrepreneurs from all over the world.

In 2015, the amount of venture capital infused into Silicon Valley companies reached $24.5 Billion, representing the greatest amount of venture capital funding in any one year since 2000.

SAP Silicon Valley is in the epicenter of the global tech startup community and works with young organizations across the area, representing the hottest new technologies in a variety of industries. We are also the hub of innovation for cloud, platform and design.

Welcome to the 2016 edition of the SAP International Spotlight Tour, taking place at Levi Stadium on September 14 and featuring some of the most innovative start-ups and small and medium businesses from the Valley.

The event, exclusively reserved for media, offers a chance for Q&As and networking opportunities with our speakers, as well as, an opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at all the latest sports technology showcases at Levi’s Stadium.

The program will look at how SAP is spurring Silicon Valley innovation in a variety of ways:

Startups: SAP supports and co-innovates with startups around the valley in the most cutting-edge areas: healthcare, sports, internet of things, virtual and augmented reality, machine learning and more. A panel of young executives will discuss the importance of collaboration between startups and established global software players; and the most important technology trends for businesses to start considering right now. Then you can experience these innovations first hand at demo “stations.”

Spurring growth for “up and comers”: Small to midsize businesses from the Valley will talk about how they’re using SAP technology as a core part of their strategy to run more efficiently and scale

The main program takes place Wednesday, Sept. 14, with a kick off taking place on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the SAP offices in Palo Alto for those who are interested. For more information or to inquire on attending, please contact jackie.montesinos.suarez@sap.com.
