We’ll start the day with a patriotic Opening Ceremony about 9:30AM at the O’Brien Gate. When the gates open about 10:00AM, there’ll be plenty to do. Time: Opens at 6pm, Fireworks at 9pm
Event Information: The evening opens at 6 p.m. at the athletic field of Bernardo Heights Middle School, with an array of entertainment featuring the music of the Evie Selis Band and highlighting the winners of the RB Idol Contest. The fireworks display begins at 9 p.m. Admission for the evening events and fireworks is $10 per person or $20 per family.

Scripps Ranch Fireworks

Scripps Mesa Fireworks puts on one of the best 4th of July fireworks shows in San Diego, so that the communities of Scripps Ranch and Mira Mesa can enjoy a traditional and family friendly finish to their Independence Day celebration. The show is 20 minutes long, contains over 600 shells and is synchronized to music broadcast on the radio. The show is funded entirely by residents and businesses in the community.

Mira Mesa Fireworks

Time: Fireworks start at 9pm
Event Info: The day begins at 8 am with a Pancake Breakfast at the Epicentre, hosted by the Black Mountain Masonic Lodge. Family Fun Day in the Park opens at 11 am with carnival rides, food vendors, and entertainment. The annual 4th of July Parade steps off at 11:30 am from the corner of Mira Mesa Blvd and Greenford Drive, traveling down Mira Mesa Blvd to Camino Ruiz. Family Fun Day continues until 9 pm, and the Park provides a front row seat for the Fireworks Extravaganza. The annual fireworks are produced by Scripps Mesa Fireworks.
