Male elephant seals get to 16 feet long and weigh 5,000 pounds—females are a petite 8 to 12 feet long and 1,000 to 2,000 pounds. They swim 13,000 miles a year (longest mammal migration on earth) and dive 1,800 feet to feed. And beginning in December they call Ano Nuevo home.
