The Santa Cruz Children’s Museum of Discovery, located in the Capitola Mall, Celebrated their one year anniversary Friday! The MOD is a hands on, creative learning environment aimed at teaching young children, and their parents, about the rich environment in and around Santa Cruz County. Friday evening saw unique exhibits including Glow Portrait, ISOPOD, and a special demo on how to Make Some OOObleck.
Over the last year, nearly 1,400 families have joined the MOD – 300 of which were free, donor-supported scholarship memberships – and over 50,000 visitors have enjoyed the exhibits and programs.
