About Us
Darrell Hardy established the business in 1991 after moving from Colorado to work on installations at UCSC. He had been working commercially for over 15 years and brought a wealth of experience as well as Larry Bakel to help start the business.
From the beginning it was their wish to provide the type of service that signified “quality”, safe, and affordable, energy efficient home and commercial solutions.
Twenty one years later, HQA continues to provide the type of sales and service that is geared to exceed the customers’ expectations! The company’s dependability and excellent service has paid off in a never-ending list of customer referrals, long-term customer relationships and an enviable reputation in the community. Though Larry has since retired, Darrell, wife Stacey and daughter Lillian continue to run the business as a locally owned and operated business with roots in the surrounding communities. As well we strive to create a family environment for our staff that encourages them to continue to learn and grow in their field. Training is an essential part of our culture here at HQA!
