News Corp. has sold San Francisco-based IGN Entertainment to Ziff Davis Inc., a subsidiary of j2 Global Inc. (NASDAQ: JCOM), for an undisclosed price.
IGN Entertainment, which News Corp. bought in 2005 for $650 million, owns online editorial properties focused on video games, entertainment generally and men's lifestyle content, including IGN.com, UGO.com, 1UP.com and AskMen.com. It has 220 employees in San Francisco.
