Regional Sales Manager, Technical Product Sales – PPE

Kirk Johnson Executive Search has been selected to find an outstanding “hunter” sales person for a fast paced innovative manufacturer.Company: A dynamic and growing manufacturer in the safety industry, a company that is on a trajectory to substantially grow their business over the next few years by offering innovative products that help solve EHS issues in the industrial workplace.Compensation and Benefits: The company offers benefits that include coverage of business expenses, 401k, health plans from Blue Cross, disability and life insurance, and an above average compensation program that includes an attractive base salary and commissions that increase with growth.Opportunity: This position is responsible for growing business by calling on the end user and distribution base throughout the Texas and Louisiana Gulf region. The best location for this person would be in the greater Houston area. The target markets are petrochemical, utilities, agriculture, mining, construction and industrial. The territory includes the gulf area from Victoria to Beaumont, TX and all of Louisiana . Expectation for this territory is that business can more than double in the following year and this can correlate to a high level of commissions.

Responsibilities and Qualifications: The successful candidate will be responsible for, and have experience and/or above average abilities in the following areas: Working with Safety Managers and Industrial Hygienists in the target markets. Successfully specifying products to the end user and then managing the pull through process with distribution. Hunter sales skills. Highly developed sense of urgency. Excellent rapport builder. Training, demonstration, and public speaking. Technical product sales. Overnight travel and management of a large territory. Depending on location, this could be 20% overnight travel. Sales and expense budget responsibility. Better than average sales growth. Be in the top 10% of your sales peers.Education: A 4 year degree is preferred, but experience may trump degree.
