Step-By-Step Tutorial
Step 1: Download CF-Auto-Root Kitkat package from the downloads section to your PC and unzip the file.
Step 2: Download ODIN v3.09 from the downloads section to your PC.
Step 3: Turn off the device and enter the download mode by pressing and holding Volume Down+Home+Power buttons together until you see the Android logo.
Step 4: Press the Power button to confirm entering into the download mode. Now Launch the previously downloaded ODIN v3.09 on PC.
Step 5: Connect the Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000 to your PC while it is in download mode.
Step 6: If the connection is successful, the leftmost box of the ODIN turns yellow with ID:COM and port number in it. Now its time to flash the root package on the phone. Follow this simple step to root Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 N8000:
Click on PDA and select the file with name CF-Auto-Root-p4noterf-p4noterfxx-gtn8000.tar.md5 from the unzipped files.
Step 7: Make sure that you check Auto-Reboot and F.Reset Time options in the ODIN and click Start button. It starts flashing the Auto Root package on the phone.
Step 8: It takes some time for installation and if it is successful, the ID:COM box turns green and the phone reboots automatically. Once the phone reboots, disconnect it from the PC.
