Have you ever tried a name search of self on
web ~ and how visible are you on the world wide web ? ……. I had earlier posted
about Chuck Norris and Rajnikant …….. famous for memes..  click here on   Rajni meme  to read my earlier post :

This youngster is just 24  is a left handed batsman who can also bowl ! ~
reportedly owns a Suzuki Hayabusa which costs around 14 lakhs – a powerful two
wheeler revealing his desire for speed…….he is latest Internet sensation ~
though have not had great exploits on field…….. in the inaugural season of IPL
he was selected by Rajasthan Royals; had to sit out of 2010 IPL due to a ban
arising from contractual irregularities; in 2011, he was selected by Kochi
Tuskers Kerala for $950,000; Kochi Tuskers were excluded from the IPL in
September 2011, and in the 2012 IPL player auction, he was bought by Chennai
Super Kings for $2 million (approx. Rs. 9.8 Crore) after a tie breaker with
Deccan Chargers who bid the same amount. He was the most expensive player of
the auction……… perhaps has not justified that price thus far………

Often we do a google search or refer to the Wikipedia for
any information on anything and everything on the earth.  He made us realize that the results you get
may not always be genuine……. On a recent day, a search on Ravindra Jadeja
showed a page describing him as ‘philanthropist, Nobel laureate,  a double Laureus sportsman of the year, and
the nearest human to being God. Other than that he is an Indian cricketer.”  The error was corrected sooner………..but  has since been rectified. The thing about
Wikipedia is that anyone in ~ now he is part of Internet history as there are
so many memes on him.

The exuberant Ravindra Jadeja surprised a lot of people
with his performances against

Australia

in the recent four-Test series. Bracketed as a limited overs specialist, it was
Jadeja’s bowling that shone brightest, with only R Ashwin taking more wickets,
though Jadeja bested him in the average and strike-rate columns.    Ravindra Jadeja or Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh
Jadeja is a character, he had a big role in the stellar performance of
Saurashtra in the Ranji this season; he was part of  Indian U-19 cricket team that won the World
Cup in

Malaysia

in 2008. Jadeja made his ODI debut against

Sri Lanka

on 8 February 2009 and
scored an unbeaten 60 in that match. However, his Test debut came almost four
years later, in December 2012, against
England

at

Nagpur

.

He had a less than ordinary performance in the 2009 ICC
World Twenty20 event, and since then  Jadeja has been a consistent target of sarcasm
and jokes by cricket portals and Indian cricket fans. On Twitter and Facebook,
he is jokingly referred to as Sir Ravindra Jadeja since an online joke calling
him the same went viral. When Jadeja was out clean bowled for 16 while not
offering a shot in the February 2013 Chennai test against Australia, a cricket
portal described his dismissal as "Jadeja falls 284 runs short of what
would have been a fourth first-class triple-century".

On Twitter somehow he is compared with Rajnikant with a
recent one from Mahendra Singh Dhoni going viral……Dhoni appears on aircel
advertisement and claims that he is hooked to the FB / Twitter all the time……
and perhaps maintains that……  there are
many tweets attributed to MSD, Suresh Raina and Ashwin making fun on Jaddu.

Most internet memes were attributed to Chuck Norris and in
this part of the world to Rajnikant…..suddenly, Jadeja is matching or
challenging them….  MSD cracked a few
jokes at the expense of the all-rounder to the delight of his fans on the
social networking website.  Here are some
on Jadeja going viral…..

A meme is a term employed in certain theories of culture
to refer to "an idea, behavior or style that spreads from person to person
within a culture." A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas,
symbols or practices, which can be transmitted from one mind to another through
writing, speech, gestures, rituals or other imitable phenomena.

An Internet meme is a concept that spreads from person to
person via the Internet. The concept of a meme was defined and described by
Richard Dawkins in his 1976 book The Selfish Gene, as an attempt to explain the
way cultural information spreads. Fads and sensations tend to grow rapidly on
the Internet, because the instant communication facilitates word of mouth
transmission. Much of the Internet's ability to spread information is assisted
from results found through search engines, which can allow users to find memes
even with obscure information. An Internet meme may take the form of an image,
hyperlink, video, picture, website, or hashtag. It may be just a word or phrase,
including intentionally misspelling; these small movements tend to spread from
person to person via social networks, blogs, direct email, or news sources.

Incidentally are you on twitter and intend tweeting on IPL
or Sir Jadeja ?
