This week in fashion the Paris Fashion Week review features some hits and near misses, some darling looks and a farewell collection to look forward to for the Spring / Summer 2016 season.

Anne Sofie Madsen started Tuesday’s prime time show off with a trench-coat-gone-wrong look but she bounced back with some very nice and wearable denim pieces that will be true attention grabbers on the street. Madsen stayed away from the traditional bright spring colors in her RTW Spring 2016 collection and opted for more neutral tones like beige and cream with deep denim blues and army green for a splash of color. The denim mini dress with black choker and boots is a keeper from this collection.

Wednesday evening Dries Van Noten‘s Spring 2016 RTW show delivered some after five pieces that would be a happy hour hit with rich fuchsia and metallic print designs that bring a sophisticated look with comfort and style.

The collection featured a feather style print and wheat grain print done in deep teal, purple and reds that can be paired with any neutral browns and grey to add balance to the outfits. The opening white and gold mini dress with navy blue knee length jacket is a good look as a work to play ensemble.

Chloé did denim and retro right with its RTW Spring 2016 Technicolour Dreams collection as the Thursday’s opener featured strapless jumpsuits, off the shoulder dresses and camisole minis that will be comfortable beach wear for the spring. Using a rainbow of colors and in cotton and free flowing linen this collection is a must see for the fashionista who wants a wardrobe with style and grace. The off-the-shoulder rainbow top and fringed bottom denim shorts are a must have from this collection.

Friday’s farewell to Balenciaga’s creative director, Alexander Wang was the evening closer that had everyone seeing white. As Wang ends his three year stint at the European house fashion house, he put on a simple elegant show that paired fine silk and satin pieces that hugs curves and accentuates the essence of a woman. Wang’s Spring / Summer 2016 collection included every possible outfit in white from the slip dress to the cropped corset, it was all white everything but he pulled it off nicely. Look 4 was a satin sleeveless top and striped flowing pants that will look great for the summer.
