(BENTON)-Several formal charges were filed to round out 2014 this past week in Saline County Circuit Court.

Formal charges have been filed against 27-year-old Christina Marie Brock of Mablevale.  The Bryant Police Department alleges on October 28th 2014, they were notified by the victim that some unauthorized purchases were made on her stolen credit card.  Police were able to obtain surveillance video from the Wat-Mart Super Center showing a transaction involving Brock and the stolen credit card.  McDonald’s in Bryant also reported that Brock used the credit card there as well and police were able to obtain a picture of Brock at the restaurant.  On November 12th 2014, police interviewed Brock, who said the person in the photographs she “stated it was possible.”   Brock is charged with Felony Breaking or Entering and Felony Theft of Property valued at between $1,000.00 and $5,000.00.

Formal charges have been filed against 32-year-old Danny Savage of Benton.  Police allege on September 15th 2014, the United States Postal Service intercepted a package being shipped to an address on Drake Drive in Benton.  It was believed that marijuana was being shipped to the address.  Police searched the package and discovered it contained eight packages of marijuana.   Police then “delivered” the package to the address and it was accepted by Savage.  The Little Rock Police Department Narcotics Detail then executed a search warrant at Savage’s address, seizing the package and arresting Savage.   Police also found several bundles of marijuana, a digital scale and grinder, a .38 weapon with shells, over $3,600.00 in cash and seized a computer, bank receipts and plastic vacuum seal bags.  Savage is charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver, Felony Offenses Relating to Records, Maintaining Premises and Refusing Entry and Felony Possession of Firearms By Certain Persons.

Formal charges have been filed against 42-year-old Angela Sue McCool of Traskwood.  Police allege on September 9th 2014, they arrested McCool after they found her in possession of several prescription pills after she drove onto a curb along side the street.   McCool is charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance between two and 28 grams, Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance between 28 and 200 grams, Misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance less than 28 grams and Misdemeanor Carrying a Weapon.

Formal charges have been filed against 57-year-old Lillie Mae Hill and 58-year-old Louis Edward Payne of Benton.  Police allege on December 3rd 2014, the Benton Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit executed a search and seizure warrant at an apartment on Lillian Street. Detectives found crack cocaine, clear plastic baggies and nearly $4,000.00 in cash.  Hill admitted to police to selling crack cocaine.    Payne admitted the money was his from drug deals.  Hill is charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine or Cocaine between two and ten grams with Intent to Deliver and Felony Offenses Relating to Records, Maintaining Premises Refusing Entry.  Payne is charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine or Cocaine between two and ten grams with Intent to Deliver and Felony Offenses Relating to Records, Maintaining Premises Refusing Entry.

Formal charges have been filed against 29-year-old Christopher Perry Thomas of Benton.  Police allege on November 21st 2014, police made contact with Thomas in his vehicle at the Union Pacific property on Willow Street.  He told police he was lost and was trying to find the Habitat for Humanity community.  As police checked his identification, they discovered he was wanted on a warrant from the Benton Police Department.  He was arrested and police searched his vehicle.  They found a small tube containing a small baggie with white crystals suspected to be methamphetamine, a clear plastic pipe with methamphetamine residue.  Thomas is charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance, Methamphetamine or Cocaine and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia to Ingest or Inhale.

Formal charges have been filed against 24-year-old Ashlee Marie Rodgers of Bryant.  Police allege on October 3rd 2014, the victim told police several books had been stolen.  Later, police made contact with Text Book Brokers in Little Rock and learned the books had been sold by Rodgers.   Rodgers is charged with Felony Theft of Property Valued at between $1,000.00 and $5,000.00.

Formal charges have been filed against 23-year-old Jarron Michael Cox of Hot Springs.  Police allege on November 10th 2014, two subjects, one identified as Cox, left the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Bryant with mobile stereo items.  As police arrived, the subject pulled away from the store and sped away.  Police observed the vehicle run several stop lights and it entered the service road alongside Interstate-30.   Speed then topped 100-miles-per-hour.   As the chase continued onto Raymar Road, the suspects then topped speeds of 115-miles-per-hour trying to avoid police.  As the chase continued onto the south service road, the suspects tried to hit a pedestrian.  The pedestrian jumped out of the way into a nearby ditch to avoid being hit.   The chase resumed on Interstate-30, hitting speeds of over 100-miles-per-hour.   Police were finally able to end the chase at the 114 mile exit after police were able to force the driver to lose control and strike a nearby cable barrier.  Cox is charged with Felony Fleeing in a Vehicle Causing Danger, Misdemeanor Theft of Property valued at less than $1,000.00 and Misdemeanor Contributing to the Delinquency of a Juvenile.

Formal charges have been filed against 29-year-old James Micah Jacobs of Carlisle.  Police allege on August 23rd 2014, police responded to Highway 229 and Highway 5-A in reference to a female lying in the middle of the roadway.  The driver of a vehicle, identified as Jacobs, said he did not know what happened to the victim.  Jacobs said he had been drinking and registered .236 on a breathalyzer test.  As the victim was transported to the hospital, she told paramedics that Jacobs ran over her over on purpose.  Jacobs is charged with Felony Second Degree Battery.

Formal charges have been filed against 38-year-old Chasity Rachelle Rogers of Bauxite.  Police allege on November 5th 2014, police responded to an area on Highway 229 in reference to a reckless driver.  Police were able to located the vehicle and identified the driver as Rogers.   Police found out she was driving on a suspended driver’s license.  After transporting her to the Saline County Detention Center, she failed sobriety tests.  Rogers is charged with Felony Violation of the Omnibus Driving While Intoxicated Act-Sixth Offense and Misdemeanor Refusal to Submit to a Chemical Test.

Formal charges have been filed against 27-year-old Kimberly Lynn Crews of Benton.  Police allege on November 8th 2014, they were called to Tobacco Warehouse in response to the theft of several lottery tickets.    The 22 missing tickets were valued at $177.00.  Crews was identified as an employee of the business.  After speaking with Crews, a man and woman walked into the store and hand Crews’ uniform back to the manager.    The Arkansas Lottery Commission confirmed the tickets were cashed at Tobacco Warehouse.  Crews is charged with Felony Lottery Fraud.

Formal charges have been filed against 26-year-old Tericka Nicole Davenport of Bryant.  Police allege on November 14th 2014, Davenport and another person walked into the WalMart Supercenter, did some shopping and paid for the items with three counterfeit 100-dollar bills.    The Bryant Police Department was later able to stop the vehicle in question for a non-working taillight.  A third person, the employee who allowed Davenport to pay for the purchase with counterfeit bills.  All three were arrested and transported to the Saline County Jail.  Davenport is charged with Felony First Degree Forgery.

Formal charges have been filed against 37-year-old Kerri Leigh Johnson Long of Benton.  Police allege on November 24th 2014, police received a report of a reckless driver at the McDonald’s in Benton.  When police arrived, they learned Long was waned on an active warrant out of Saline County.  A strong odor of marijuana was coming from the vehicle.  As police did a search of Long, they found a glass pipe and a small baggie containing methamphetamine and marijuana.  Long is charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine or Cocaine less than two grams and misdemeanor Possession of a Controlled Substance less than four ounces.

Formal charges have been filed against 34-year-old Joshua Lee Hutcheson of Traskwood.  Shannon Hills Police allege on November 8th 2014, they saw a suspicious vehicle parked at the end of the road at Valley Ridge.  After police asked Hutcheson for his identification, he was asked to step out of the vehicle.  After stepping out of the vehicle, police found a needle and two clear baggies containing narcotics.  Hutcheson was also found to be in the possession of a glass pipe, a baggie of a green colored substance and $528.00 in cash.  Hutcheson is charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Formal charges have been filed against 36-year-old Amanda Lee Cagle of Alexander.  Police allege on November 19th 2014, police and parole officers conducted a visit at Cagle’s home.  She earlier was charged with Federal Felony Drug Possession.   In the home with the two children present, police found the home in a state of disrepair and and two small heaters for heat in the residence.   Several flammable items of clothing were found near the heaters and the home was very dirty.   Cagle then showed police a glass pipe with marijuana residue.  Police also found a $20.00 bill wadded up containing Methamphetamine.  A further search of the home revealed several syringes, more methamphetamine and marijuana and a bent spoon.  Cagle is charged with Felony Possession of Methamphetamine With Intent to Deliver and Felony Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Formal charges have been filed against 40-year-old John J. Lowrance of Benton.  Police allege on July 17th 2014, they were called to the emergency room at Saline Memorial Hospital in connection with a domestic battery incident.   The victim told police she was at her ex-husband’s residence, later identified as Lowrance, and was beaten to the point of becoming unconscious.  The victim was also 19 weeks pregnant at the time of the incident.   An employee of the Abba Adoption Center who told police she was working the day the victim asked her to be picked up from Lowrance’s residence.  She saw Lowrance grab the victim by the head and throw her on the ground.  The worker then called 9-1-1.  Lowrance is charged with Felony Third Degree Domestic Battery.

Formal charges have been filed against 23-year-old Chad Asbury of Malvern.  Police allege on June 6th 2014, they were called to Steele and Ten Mile Road in connection with an aggravated assault.  The victim told police that Asbury pulled a gun on him and shot out over his vehicle.    Asbury was later contacted and taken into custody at gunpoint.  Asbury is charged with Felony Aggravated Assault and Felony Terroristic Threatening.
