Key Account (Sales) Manager – Damage Prevention Solutions (Retail)

Our client is a leading global provider of high quality damage prevention equipment and solutions used in the retail and logistics sectors. Through offering a stylish and functional product range, covering everything from corner bumpers to car park accessories, our client has grown into a true leader and counts some the world’s largest retailers as valued accounts. Due to UK growth, they now have an exciting opening for a Key Account Manager to target accounts throughout the North.

As a client facing, hands-on Key Account Manager you will report to the UK Sales Manager and develop new opportunities, strengthen existing relationships and grow business within new and existing markets. A major element of this role will be the management and growth of key accounts such as Asda, Morrison’s and Co-op. You will build and develop an in-depth knowledge of all key customers/prospects, develop and implement a sales strategy with minimum 8 visits per week, ensure current and potential customers are fully up to date with new products and services making professional presentations to key contacts relating to new products and/or programmes and maintain and improve current margins, utilising our client’s extensive range of products and services, to provide innovative customer focussed solutions. Applications are being invited from degree educated candidates with a minimum of 5 years strategic sales experience. Experience of the construction or retail industry will be a distinct advantage and you must have previously sold products or services into Asda, Morrison’s or the Co-op. You will have prior experience of working for a market leader with a premium product and possess a proven track record of over achieving in a project based environment within a complex sales arena with demonstrable success in developing new business and managing existing high valued accounts. Along with your previous experience you will be dynamic, enthusiastic, professional and possess first class communication and presentation skill. You will also be highly motivated, results orientated, creative and able to use your initiative.

The successful candidate can expect a negotiable base salary of 35-40k with a first year 50k OTE plus an excellent and overly generous executive benefits package.
