Freeholder Doug Painter announced that the Salem County Board of Chosen Freeholders will hold a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 3:30 pm to celebrate the Salem County One Stop Career Center office relocation. The Salem County One Stop Career Center has relocated to 98 Market Street, on the Second Floor in Salem, NJ.
The One Stop Career Center offers programs and services to those who are looking for assistance to become job ready, job search assistance, and will assist those who need to obtain their GED. “The services offered by our One Stop Career Center help to prepare potential employees with necessary skills to become gainfully employed, while providing a resource to our business community to help fulfill their workforce needs,” stated Freeholder Doug Painter.
The services offered by the Career Center are free to those who qualify and there are incentives for businesses that collaborate with the Center, in addition to career exploration, training, and life skills training.
Julie Acton, Freeholder Director stated, “We are pleased to have an office that will assist employers find qualified candidates, as well as, a source for career exploration. The services offered help to bridge a gap between the job seeker and employers with job openings.”
