Dear St. Bridget Families,

We would like to invite everyone to this year’s 8th Grade International Dinner honoring the country of Hungary. This year’s dinner is supported by both a grant from Impact Framingham (formerly the Framingham Civic League) an organization that invests in cultural enrichment programs throughout our town, and by The Hungarian Cultural Society. The students are working hard to prepare the decorations for the hall as well as the food for the dinner. Proceeds from this event will be used to offset the costs of the 8th grade class trip to Boston.

Hungarian Vegetable Soup

Pork Loin Eszterhazy with Egg Barley

Chicken Paprikas with Hungarian Dumplings

News from the Admissions Office:

Our first Admissions Open House is right around the corner, scheduled for Thursday October 23, 2014 at 7:00pm. This year, the October Open House will highlight our early elementary grades, with a particular focus on Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and 1st grade. As always, I need your help!

First and foremost – SPREAD THE WORD!! If you have friends, neighbors, colleagues or family that are considering Catholic education, please encourage them to come to our Open House. Word of mouth is still our best advertising source and you, the current parents, are our best sellers.

I need some parents to be here on Open House night to answer questions and give tours of the building. If you are interested in helping, please contact me. You will need to arrive by 6:45. Parents with children in grades 3-8, you may bring your child with you to help give tours. The children are a wonderful source of information for prospective parents.

I have left some Open House flyers with Mrs. Feeney at the front desk. This is a great way to advertise the Open House. Post these flyers in places that you and your family go. If there is someplace you frequent (Panera, the YMCA, dentist office etc) and you think you can place a flyer there, please do so. This is another inexpensive, yet effective way to get the word out.

As always, I thank you for your continued support of Saint Bridget School. I look forward to hearing from you.

Scrip Fundraising Has Arrived!

Dear Saint Bridget Families:We are very excited that “Scrip” is now available at Saint Bridget School. Now you can help raise money for our wonderful school without buying unwanted items, without selling door-to-door, and with no extra cost to you.

Supporting our school has never been easier!

* How It Works: Scrip refers to a gift certificates or gift cards program. Scrip allows you to purchase gift cards, at a discount, from hundreds of retailers where you shop anyway!!. The difference between you buying directly from the retailer or from SCRIP is: OUR PROFIT. By purchasing these gift cards before you shop for your everyday items – like groceries, gas and clothes or before you go out to eat – SBS earns money, without you having to spend a penny extra. It’s just that simple.* How to Participate Simply choose which gift cards you would like to buy, download from our website, Scrip Program, and return the order form with your check made out to St. Bridget PTO and return to school by Mondays. Please put the order form and check in an envelope labeled Scrip Pro. You can down load a new order form anytime from our website. In addition, you can open your own account online at myorder.scrippro.com and add your ACH account.

If you choose to open your own account, the family code is 40557893. By opening your own account, you will receive your gift cards quicker.

We encourage you to take advantage of the wonderful benefits offered by this on-going fundraiser. If you have questions, please contact Jennifer Malvesta (jmalvesta@saintbridgetschool.info). Help us exceed our goals!!
