Renowned Artist Choo Keng Kwang announced that he will be releasing limited edition prints. With his original oil paintings selling up to six figures today, this is definitely good news for his fans who can now obtain limited edition prints of his artworks for S$2,000. His inaugural prints portfolio comprises many of his iconic paintings including the nostalgic landscape scenes like Chinatown and Temple Street, and symbolic animal paintings Happy Family and Doves.
Widely recognised as one of Singapore’s first generation artists, Choo has participated in numerous solo and group art exhibitions locally and internationally. His artworks have even been sold for recorded prices at famous auction houses, Christie’s and Sotheby’s.

Acknowledged for his talent, his artworks are sought after by many worldwide art enthusiasts and collectors. Due to the growing interest for his paintings in recent years, many fans find it harder to acquire his paintings. To stimulate the art enthusiasts especially those seeking visual appeal from his paintings, Choo has decided to launch the limited edition prints so more fans could still be the proud owners of a limited edition print of his paintings.
“I hope this will spark off interest (in art collection) in the community, especially amongst the young art enthusiasts and the budding artists. Editions provides a good opportunity to start a collection because it’s much more accessible in terms of price and availability”, says Choo Keng Kwang. As a committed educator, Choo has always been a strong advocate and supporter in promoting the development of Singapore’s art community, especially to the young people.
Edition prints were not as prevalent in Asia but are gaining popularity fast in recent years. As prints are still considered to be original works of art (signed and authenticated by the artist) with a high retained value, more Asian individuals and corporates are buying prints for displays at home and offices. Undeniably, due to the affordability, there is also a growing trend to give prints as housewarming presents and corporate gifts as well.
Even though Choo would love to share his artworks with all his fans, there will only be a limited run of 500 high-quality prints for each artwork. The edition prints are made exclusive to ensure his prints would remain as collectible items for his supportive collectors who rushed to buy his prints.

Each print is authenticated by PCPublic Pte Ltd and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA)
Each print measures est. 70cm x 51cm and is printed on 19mil bright white, consistent poly-cotton blend matte canvas with an acid-free, neutral pH coasting. Our UltraChrome K3 ink has improved print permanence characteristics that provide lightfastness ratings of up to 50 years for color prints. These prints are stunningly beautiful, and we pride ourselves on the quality of each and every one produced!
The official release of the prints will be in conjunction with his joint exhibition with his daughter, Choo Ai Loon Angeline, held at at Da Tang Fine Arts, The Adelphi, from 16 to 30 October 2014.
