South African TV personality, Boity Thulo says that her clothing line with Sissy Boy is not just for “skinny women”.
Boity, who celebrated the official launch of her new line, set the record straight saying that her clothing is for women with all body types.
The TV personality said that when she first mentioned that she will be launching her own line, many people labelled her designs as clothing for “white women”.
“I know that Sissyboy was seen as a white brand and I wanted to bring in that different taste that I know my followers will like, and made sure that it works for my body. The real body”.
In an interview with TMG Entertainment, Boity said that she wanted to “create a line that is comfortable”.
“I wanted to capture authenticity and also make sure that there is timelessness. Because I know that I want to buy something that I can wear over and over again,” she said.
Boity is also known for her slogan, ‘Own Your Throne’ and now also has ‘Own Your Throne’ t-shirts.
“You have your own throne, you don’t have to fight for someone else’s and you don’t have to look at someone else’s, because you have your own throne. And when I realised that and started embracing that, that’s when my true journey started and this is the realest I’ve ever been”.
