Former Mamelodi Sundowns winger Lebohang Mokoena believes Bongani Zungu has immense talent to become one of the country’s best exports.

Mokoena was teammates with Zungu during their time at the Brazilians but both have since recently left the club.

Zungu has joined Vitoria de Guimaraes in Portugal on a free transfer while Mokoena has not yet found a new home.

“The boy has got so much talent. He’s got respect for his game. He listens to the older guys. I remember telling him that I wish he wouldn’t stay long in the country,” Mokoena told KickOff.

“I told him, whatever offer came, he should grab it and it happened exactly like that.”

Mokoena, meanwhile, has also praised the trio of Leonardo Castro, Khama Billiat and Keegan Dolly, affectionately known as CBD for their excellent contribution to the team’s Premiership and Telkom Knockout title double win.

“I think they are excellent, quality, quality players,” he added. “They could take the team from zero and put it up there. Out of nothing they would come up with something for the team. They did exceptionally well and I’ve got too much respect for them.”
